Bersih 2.0

Woohoo! Finally Razor Edge has resumed its business, looking much more classy and sophisticated. And spot me with a brand new look. Back to basics, bangs in black! Never noticed that I've been doing my hair at this salon for almost 7 years with the same stylist. I don't trust others handling my hair >.<

Anyways, I know I'm not that much into politics, but there's something that's very close to my heart, human rights. Human rights to basic living needs, human rights to freedom of choice and speech, and especially human rights to democracy. And Bersih 2.0, just like its former rally Bersih 1.0 back in November 2007, was all about fair elections.

One thing that I'm extremely disappointed with this government is that they fail to deliver their promises. It's only during the election in March 2008 that they went all out. But that's fine, I understand that every politician makes fancy promises they can't keep, their abilities to fulfil everyone's needs are limited. But, come on, this was a COMPROMISE agreed that the rally is allowed to be held in the stadium where it can be controlled. We're not asking Najib to throw some party over there, have celebrity singers perform, like a carnival day similar to Jom Heboh!

Bersih is standing up for one of the human rights, the right to democracy. Tunku Abdul Rahman fought for our independence, now someone is fighting for our freedom to wear or possess something yellow. Can you imagine, you can get caught wearing a yellow T-shirt that has BERSIH on it? Worse, on July 9th, 2011, which is tomorrow, Najib is shutting the city down to a state of emergency. We know what you're up to, you are trying to cause inconvenience and spark anger so that the people would think Bersih has brought nothing but madness (and traffic jams) to the city. It's not gonna work.

Why, are you scared Najib? Your actions have lost you credibility as an impartial leader.
